Vueron Technology Partners with Toyota Tsusho to Bring LiDAR Technology to Japanese Market
Vueron recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Toyota Tsusho’s subsidiaries, NEXTY Electronics and NEXTY Electronics Korea, to supply LiDAR-based collision avoidance solutions and expand its business. On September 27, Naver announced that the collaboration would focus on leveraging Vueron’s advanced LiDAR technology to enhance safety in various applications.
NEXTY Electronics, a key player in semiconductor and electronic components, will provide comprehensive support for the sale and promotion of Vueron’s LiDAR solutions in Japan by utilizing its extensive technical expertise and strong sales network.
Vueron, known for its innovative LiDAR perception solution “View.One,” is expanding its business beyond autonomous vehicles into delivery robots, unmanned ships, and surveillance robots. The company has secured early-stage investments from Naver’s D2 Startup Factory (D2SF) and others.
Vueron’s CEO, Jaekwang Kim, stated, “Through our collaboration with NEXTY Electronics, we aim to provide Vueron’s highly versatile solutions not only in Japan but also to the global market.” A representative from NEXTY Electronics added, “We are excited to offer Vueron’s LiDAR solutions to Japan’s automotive and smart city sectors, contributing to the creation of safer streets in Japan.”
