LiDAR solution provider Vueron Technology (Vueron) announced on the 14th the appointment of Hongmo Je, former CTO of StradVision, as their new Head of Engineering. This strategic move aims to strengthen their Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) technology and accelerate their production capabilities.
Jae Kwang Kim, CEO of Vueron, commented, “Hongmo Je’s experience in mass production is an invaluable asset. With his expertise, we aim to become the first LiDAR solution provider to achieve mass production of automotive LiDAR solutions, securing a leading position in the market. We are currently working closely with automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers across Korea, Japan, the U.S., and Europe. With Je on board, we will expedite the production of our LiDAR ADAS solution, VueOne.”
Hongmo Je (52) is a distinguished AI expert with over 20 years of experience at companies like Olaworks, Intel Korea, and StradVision. As CTO of StradVision, Je successfully led the mass production of deep learning-based camera recognition technology for ADAS.
Je expressed his enthusiasm for the new role, stating, “I have long been familiar with Vueron’s outstanding LiDAR perception technology through past collaborations. While my previous work focused on 2D cameras, my goal now is to bring 3D LiDAR to mass production. I am excited to take on this challenge, and I am confident that with my experience, we will succeed in achieving mass production of Vueron’s LiDAR ADAS.”
Vueron recently attracted global attention by winning the CES® 2024 Innovation Award for their Smart Crowd Analytics (SCA) feature in VueTwo, their proprietary crowd management solution. This recognition followed their participation in CES 2024, where they unveiled an upgraded version of their autonomous driving solution, VueOne.
